As suggested by Er Akshay Raj Aggarwal, the executive committee decided that at the Global Alumni Meet Scheduled to be held on 16 Feb 2018, the batch of 2004 should be also honoured besides batches of 1959; 1969; 1984 and 1994 to enhance participation of younger batches.

After detailed discussions, it was decided to also honour 2004 batch this time. After detailed deliberation, it was resolved to fix registration charges as under:

For batches upto 1968 including 1968: Rs 500/- for single & Rs 1000/- for couple.

For all other batches from 1969 onward: Rs 1200/- for single & Rs 1800/- for couple

For additional Guest accompanying Alumni: Rs 1000/- each.

It was further explained by the Treasurer that three modes of payment for registration will be:

1. By cheque in favour of PECOSA with details of alumni on reverse of cheque and sent by post to Mr RP Sharma Treasurer/PECOSA @ #1146,Sector 34-C Chandigarh-160022.

2. By direct deposit into PECOSA SBI PEC account No 30203276991 with IFSC code SBIN0002452. Details of payment to be intimated by email to Treasurer/General Secretary on their email sharmarp2@hotmail.com & shami2403@gmail.com respectively.

3. Through Payumoney by visiting PECOSA website PECOSA.IN either by netbanking or credit/debit card/IMPS etc. Item

3: Preparation for Jaspal Bhatti Cultural Evening and issue regarding naming PEC Auditorium after Padam BhushanJaspal Bhatti. The executive committee was unanimous in its opinion that the PEC Auditorium should be named after the name of late Padam Bhushan Jaspal Bhatti as passed resolution in this connection as under: “It was unanimously resolved by the executive committee of PECOSA in its meeting held on 7 Sep 2018 to request take up the matter regarding naming the PEC Auditorium as “Jaspal Bhatti Auditorium” with all the concerned authorities.” It was decided accordingly to make suitable references in this context to the Director PEC as well as other functionaries of the UT Administration.”

It was decided that the President will take necessary action to engage the students of PEC for participation in the Jaspal Bhatti Cultural Evening scheduled to be held on 5 Oct 2018 by talking to concerned Dean/Officer in-charge and students co-ordinators at the earliest and may also associate Er Ashok Bansal, Col S.K.Kaul and Er Sanjiv moudgil and the General Secretary in the preparations. Item 4: Ways & means for maximum participation of batches to be honoured.

The Treasurer was requested to write to the alumni of the 1959 batch as per addresses available with him. For 1969 batch Er M.K.Nanda will motivate maximum participation from his batch. He informed that he expects a big participation not less than 80 from his batch. The executive committee decided that Er Rakesh Sikka would take necessary action for motivating his 1984 batch-mates and the President will explore all avenues through Face book, Whatsapp groups etc. for connecting with alumni of 1984 batch. The members felt that a co-ordinator for 1994 needs to be found on priority . Er Karan Checker & Er Akshay Raj Aggarwal will take a lead for ensuring maximum participation of 2004 batch. All the batch coordinators were requested to get information filled in the Google Format PECOSA Connect devised by Er Karan Checker which he has already posted on Whatsapp group. Item 5: Update on PECOSA Web Portal by President& Er Karan Checker The President informed the members that he along-with Karan Checker had a Zoom Conference with Dr Vijay Vasandani and discussed various features required in PECOSA web portal. In this context a video conference among the President, the Director PEC , Dr Vijay Vasandani and Dr Ravi Segal and Mr Sanjiv Bhavnani, all of the 1983 batch, is fixed for 8 Sep 2018 and further progress on same will be intimated to the members. Er Karan Checker informed that 189 alumni of different batches have so far registered on PECOSA Connect and requested all members to ensure that their batch-mates to do the needful. Further members having firm data of their batch-mates can fill format at their own level. He further brought to the notice of members that for upgrading PECOSA website he has contacted few providers and one in Mohali ( Er Vijay Kumar of 1966 PEC Alumnus) has agreed to do the job of initial phase at a cost of Rs 98,000/- approx + GST. The members were of view that this payment should be made in instalments depending on quantum of job done to the satisfaction of the core committee consisting of Er Karan Ckecker, Col SK Kaul, Er Sandeep Bhargava & Er Akshay Raj Aggarwal.. The Executive Committee approved to incur this expenditure if our Website becomes world class and meet out requirements of database, Broadcasting, login and Registering, E Voting and Polling, Chapters, Fund Raising etc. as already decided for the first phase besides the usual features such as events, messages etc. It should have suitable link also with the PEC website. Item 6: E News letter The President requested Er Akshaye Aggarwal to take up the responsibility of issuing E- PECOSA News Letter quarterly and its first issue should be released by 20 Sep 2018 in association with the students of the Editor Club. He assured him to provide all assistance for this purpos . It was decided to issue PECOSA E News Letter quarterly. Item 7: Liaison with Newly formed PECOSA Chapters Er MK Nanda pointed out that before the Charter of Association is presented by the President, the same should have the seal of approval of the Executive Committee as per clause 24 of MOA of PECOSA. Further in default, annulment provision has not been suitably incorporated in the charter presented to J&K Chapter on 2.9.2018. The President indicated that provision for annulment is clothed in the language of the Charter to be presented to the PECOSA Chapters ,”………. office bearers & members of the chapter shall be bound by the Constitution & Byelaws of PECOSA and which agreement is evidenced by the acceptance of the certificate.” As the formation of the He advised the General Secretary to act as nodal authority for the purpose of liaison with the PECOSA Chapters and obtaining various reports and roster of members etc.
